Ever since I was little, I’ve heard the term “Photoshop” regularly that now it is part of my everyday vocabulary. This is because Adobe Photoshop is a widely used software that tens of thousands of professional companies use (Enlyft, 2020) - and for a good reason. It is a powerful software used by designers, photographers, and many companies in the creative industry for image editing, graphic design, art, and much more. There is a wide variety of tools and options, such as paintbrush, colour adjustment, selection tools, and more, (Goodwill Community Foundation, 2020) I personally love Photoshop and have used it in a variety of ways. As both a design and photography student in high school, I used it for graphic design such as logos, website design, packaging, book pages, and billboards. I also used it to edit my photographs to create a professional look and create art.

It has a simple, sleek design so that you can focus purely on the project that you are working on and show all the necessary tools on the side so that everything is accessible but still have enough space to work.

However, it is quite overwhelming for someone to use photoshop for the first time with the many tools and settings and can be very confusing. Hours of learning by themselves or through courses, are necessary to understand how to use Photoshop, which can be a big hassle.
It is also costly to pay for photoshop if not working under a company or school. An annual plan paid monthly is worth $31.35 per month or a monthly plan of $48.08 per month. (Adobe, 2020)

I would not recommend this product for personal users, freelancers, or those with a small budget.
Useful for:
· Companies
· Those who want professional results
· Image editing
· Graphic design
· Photography
Not useful for:
· Those with a small budget
· Personal Use
· Art use (there are cheaper software where you can create digital art)
· 3D modelling
· Animation
In conclusion, Photoshop is an excellent software for full-time designers, especially those working in companies for graphic design and photo editing, as it is a powerful software with a variety of uses, creating a professional look.
